As budgets and spending are slashed, Springdale Public Schools
is using new technology to increase efficiency. By automating their
meeting process with NovusAGENDA, the school district is
recognizing their responsibility of going green. This new process
will cut the cost of their board meetings approximately 40% and
increase parent and public access to information.
"There is a push for educational systems to increase efficiency,
while still embracing open communication with parents," explains
John Kercher, co-founder of NovusAGENDA. "By automating the entire
meeting process from building the agenda and final minutes to
publishing it on the web, Springdale Public Schools achieves both
of these goals. By increasing the ability to research issues using
the internet, parents have easy access to their children's school
system."
Paper based meetings cost Springdale Public Schools thousands of
dollars. Until recently, the only way to prepare for board meetings
was to have a paper-based process. With NovusAGENDA, these paper
trails become electronic, facilitating communication between
Springdale Public Schools board members and parents.
Springdale Public Schools' partnership with NovusAGENDA
eliminates the need for paper packets to be shuffled around and
allows board members, parents and the public access to upcoming and
past agendas on the web.
