There had to be a better way
Let’s face it, automating a paper-based process is expensive and time consuming. The task of negotiating licensing fees, consulting contracts, and maintenance agreements can often times leave you wondering why you decided to take on the project in the first place.
Novusolutions was founded in 2000 on the belief that web-based software solutions would offer a unique opportunity for governments and educational institutions to finally automate the business processes that had previously been too expensive to automate. Everyone has automated their accounting package but what about their public agenda process? These days it is impossible to find someone doing payroll by hand but most governments and educational organizations still process job applications by hand.
Could the problem be that automating these functions would not save any time or money? One thing is for sure, automating these functions wouldn’t save you any money if you have to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for the software. What if you could pay a fraction of that to automate these processes? Well, you would be able to save hundreds of thousands of dollars instead of spending hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Since 2000, Novusolutions has held to three fundamentals:
1. Web-based software is significantly less expensive to deploy and support
2. Software should be priced on a “per site” licensing model, not a “per user” model
3. All software should be written to “open standards” to ensure interoperability with existing and future systems
By writing almost all of our software as web-based, Novusolutions offers its customers an inexpensive deployment process and significantly less expensive support costs. When a change needs to be made to one of our products, the change is made in one place and then that change is instantly reflected everywhere the software is used. There is no need to walk around and “touch every desktop” to fix a minor problem.
Our licensing fees are simple. How simple? You pay a one-time licensing fee for the initial software. Whether you install it on a single-processor box, a quad-processor box, or spread it across multiple servers you will pay the same licensing fee. You can have one person using the software or one-thousand people using the software and you will pay the same licensing fee.
We use Microsoft’s SQL Server as the backbone of all of our software. Unlike many of our competitors, our software is written to an “open standard”. That means that you can easily tie our systems to your existing systems. If you need detailed technical information about one our products, just ask.
If you haven’t done so already, please take a moment to schedule a demonstration of our software. We sincerely believe that you will find our products have robust features, an easy to deploy architecture, and a cost-effective price.
