LoginIf you choose to host NovuAGENDA on your servers here are the specifications. If you are going to use our SaaS offering then the client machines only need to support a current IE, Firefox or Safari browser.

NovusAGENDA is written in C# and .NET.

The application resides on a Web server and stores data in a Microsoft SQL database. The SQL database can be on the same server or another server in the same domain, depending on your existing infrastructure.

NovusAGENDA is a three-tier application that consists of:

  1. The core engine for workflows and item processing, which are fundamental to the application
  2. The specific capabilities relevant to processing board agendas and minutes.

  3. The customized interface created for each client

Web Server and Database Server

NovusAGENDA DOES NOT require a dedicated server for optimal performance! NovusAGENDA will run in a virtual environment.

Hardware

  • Intel Xeon 2 GHz Processor (or equivalent)
  • 4 gigabyte RAM
  • 80 gigabytes of available hard disk space
  • 100 mbs Network Controller
  • CD-ROM Drive
  • Server backup/redundancy system (RAID, Tape Backup, SAN, etc.)

 Software

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003-Standard Edition (or higher)
  • Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) v6.0 (or higher)
  • Microsoft .NET Framework v2.x
  • Virus Protection Software
  • Optional NovusAGENDA Replication engine in a fire walled deployment only

  Database Server

  Hardware

  • Intel Xeon 2 GHz Processor (or equivalent)
  • 4 gigabytes RAM
  • 160 gigabytes of available hard disk space
  • 100 mbs Network Controller
  • CD-ROM Drive
  • Server backup/redundancy system (RAID, Tape Backup, SAN, etc.)

  Software

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003-Standard Edition (or higher)
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005-Standard Edition (or higher)
  • Print-enabled applications (i.e. Microsoft Office, CAD/CAM printing application) for all types of documents that will need to be converted to PDF (not required is using a separate converter server)
  • Microsoft .NET Framework v2.x
  • Virus Protection Software

  Converter Server (Optional)

The Converter server specs can be reduced if needed to leverage existing hardware. Contact Novusolutions with questions.

  • Virus Protection Software 

Client Machines

Client computers accessing NovusAGENDA can do so by simply using a Web browser. Browsers should be current IE, Firefox or Safari Browser. Client machines can be PC or Mac. No other client-side software is required!

Installation

Once your code is fully prepared and has run through our thorough Q/A process, NovuSolutions provides complete, comprehensive installation instructions. The software and the installation instructions are shipped to clients along with training manuals and access to our online training videos.

Clients can install the solution without technical support. Remote technical support is made available as part of a standard deployment if you run into any problems whatsoever, at no additional cost!

Hosting

Hosting is normally done on the client's own server, but NovuSolutions can provide a fully hosted solution as well, SaaS. Clients can choose the method they prefer. Need more technical information?
